The Animated Series' Creator Has Seen Fans' Second Season Bingo Cards — With Some Positive Updates

The much-anticipated Season 2 of the adult animated musical series Hazbin Hotel arrives on Prime Video this week, and audience theories has been intense.

The first season introduces a diverse group of characters living within Hell and Heaven, sets them at odds accompanied by musical numbers about their clashes, and establishes heated competitions and emotional bonds that fuel fan obsession.

The community's expectations for season 2 differ greatly, but certain themes emerge over and over: Will Angel Dust break free from Valentino? Might we learn more about the mysterious "deal" constraining Alastor the Radio Demon? Might certain characters' relationships evolve?

"Obviously, I don't produce the show with audience demands as the main goal," the creator stated earlier this year. "However I feel like me being a fan of my own show means there's a lot of it just inherently. I also want to see these things, and I want some of these things to occur, and clearly some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

The creator says her big-picture plan is for five seasons of Hazbin Hotel. Future installments have received approval by Prime Video and A24, which finance the series.

That could imply fans have to wait years for some of the major resolutions — but they could be shocked at how fast season 2 moves, and how many of what they're waiting for unfolds this season.

"I feel like people are going to get a lot out of it," the creator notes. "There are several debut moments. I think we receive some incredible disclosures, some really cool backstories, and even just simple things, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] We're going to hear much more singing from the previously silent cast members."

She's certainly aware of the theories and desires about the upcoming season — especially in the format of audience prediction charts.

"I've come across a few fans make a prediction grid about the new season," she says. "Obviously I can't post it, but I've already completed some of them, and nearly every one of them have almost a bingo. I was like, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that leads me to believe we accomplish much [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I realized, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that makes me happy."

Hazbin Hotel season 2 launches on Prime Video on Oct. 29.
